I do plan on expanding on the idea of pc performance, so keep reading. I've never been the kind of person that said, "Just add more ram." I've also never been the kind of person that said, "Your hard drive crashed," when that wasn't the case. In the future I plan on have a list of way for you to speed up the proformance of your Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Winodows 7 PC. A PC doesn't have to be slow, and it doesn't always need more ram to speed it up. With that being said, here is one alternative to adding ram. This is also a great idea for "what to do with an old jump drive."
As of today eBoostr, a worth while alternative to ReadyBoost has a free trail version that allows you to run it for four hours after a system boot. I'll explain.
ReadyBoost is a feature in Windows Vista that allows you to use your jump drive as ram in your computer. This is a new idea in adding memory, but it works like a charm.
The problem is that this feature is only in Windows Vista and Microsoft hasn't created a version for Windows XP.
eBoostr is a nice piece of software created as an alternative to ReadyBoost, and it works on Windows XP.
Before you go out and buy more ram try eBoostr for free, and restart every four hours, or maybe even purchase it.
