"We are currently passing all programs that CBS sends in HDTV directly to the transmitter for retransmitting in HDTV. Local news, syndicated programs, and network programs not sent in HDTV are up-converted to standard DTV."What that means to all of us is that broadcasting companies like KIMT just relay data. There would be no sense in tuning down the A/V quality for retransmission. This means that if you hook yourself up with a digital antenna and a TiVo, even in good old Owatonna, you can get some channels in HD.

Find HD OTA Programing in Your Area
Antennaweb.org offers a free service that help you find which channels that you should be able to receive with a digital antenna. A while back I was browsing kimt.com and it says on their website,
